Ornement Japonais Hat | Knitting kit
This exclusive hat design by Patricknits was written for the Biscotte 2021 Advent Calendar.
"This pattern was inspired by the Japanese culture which has always fascinated me, but unfortunately, to this day I have never visited Japan. Among my favorite films, I count "The Last Samurai", a film based on a true story that tells in a fictionalized way the revolt of the last samurai against the imperial government, which began in January of the year 9 of the Meiji era.
Filmed in a historical context where honor and pride guided the life of the Samurai, it is with these same values that the Samurai perpetuated that you will have to knit this pattern, that is to say in a zen and proud spirit. This hat is also inspired by Japanese knitting patterns."

Product yarn is beautiful & just as photo can’t wait to cast on the hat & wear in Alaska to keep very warm
Love the yarn, so soft. The pattern is very well written and tutorial demostrating the stitches used is amazing. Although this looks like it would not be a pattern for beginners, a novice could manage it. More patterns from Patrick knits please.
