Description

Here is a new knitting pattern, designed by Kristen Ten Dyke and available at Biscotte Yarns ♥

Sinera is a seamless top-down pullover with minimal shaping. The drop shoulder keeps the body simple and straight from top to bottom, yet the ribbing adds vertically slimming lines and a form fitting hug. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole openings and decreased as they are worked to the cuff.

YARN

NEEDLES

  • Circular needles of 4mm (US#6) – Cable length of 80 cm (32’’) & + (or size needed to obtain gauge) and Double-pointed of the same size (or your favorite needles to knit small circumferences).

NOTIONS

GAUGE : 21 sts and 28 rows/rnds = 10 cm / 4in in Broken Ribbing Patt, after blocking. Take time to save time, check your gauge.

SIZES : Bust final circumference after blocking: 85 (96.5, 108.5, 120, 131.5, 143.5, 155, 166.5, 178) cm / 33½ (38, 42¾, 47¼, 51¾, 56½, 61, 65½, 70) in.

Sample shown in 96.5 cm / 38 in bust circumference.

NOTES : Before checking gauge, wash and dry flat the swatch, stretching the ribbing.

Due to the nature of variance in color of hand-dyed yarns, it’s highly recommended to alternate skeins every 2 rounds. This keeps the varying color more consistent throughout the sweater.

This sweater is worked from the top down. The upper back is worked first from the shoulder to the underarm then held while the front is worked to the underarm. Back and front stitches are joined and worked in the round from the underarm down. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole edge and worked down, working decreases to the cuff.
