Seascape | Andrea Yetman Free Pattern
Here is another beautiful pattern from Andrea Yetman! Enjoy :)
I wanted a sweater that was cropped and could be worn over dresses, overalls or high waisted jeans. The design idea came to me when I first got my hands on a skein of Biscotte’s Speckled yarn in Seashell. I knew it had to be about the ocean in some way. Then, remembering being out on the water and seeing this magnificant whale’s tail come up out of the ocean I knew I needed to incorporate that beauty into my sweater. I designed the colorwork to ressemble a whale’s tail and added a wide hem on the bottom that also mimics the beauty of a whale’s tail. I will fondly hold the memory of my Seascape adventure and remember it everytime I wear my most treasured design! - Andrea Yetman

PATTERN NOTES
Seascape is knit seamless from the top down with approximately 2-4 inches; 5-10 cm of positive ease. The sweater is cropped with 3/4 length sleeves. You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves but keep in mind to adjust the yardage of yarn. The colorwork in this design is very beginner friendly and easy to memorize. The collar and cuffs are worked in a twisted rib while the bottom hem is worked in a twisted rib cable pattern. For tips on knitting colorwork check out my blog post HERE
