Leafy Hat free pattern

This model is not an original creation. It’s a pattern inspired by a commercial hat which my mother bought during a trip for my daughter few years ago.

We liked it so much that we decided to replicate this model to knit it in other colors. I was surprised later to discover a nearly identical Russian model on Pinterest, though I think this one was worked in the round. This version is worked flat in back and forth rows.

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following to work this hat:

• 1 skein of Biscotte yarn – Albus (shown in « Kennedy Pink »).
• Needles of 5.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge).
• 2 stitch markers.
• 1 ribbon (or i-cord) of 30 cm.
• 1 or 2 cord stopper if needed.
