This pattern is worked from the top down with a heel flap. The stitch pattern used in this design creates an effect similar to the herring-bone stitch that makes the stripes of the Self Striped yarn ripple for an nice effect that stands out from the crowd!

In addition to the kit, you will need the following materials to knit the Big Bold Foliage socks :
- Circular needles or double-pointed needles of 2.25 mm; US #1 (or size needed to obtain gauge).
- Tapestry needle, stitch markers (if needed).
Gauge : 34 stitches = 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Size : adult one size
Circumference (unstretched) : 16 cm; 6 ¼ in.
Foot length : adjustable.
