Discover the beautiful Trestle socks knitted with a Bis-Sock Self Striping and a Bis-Sock semi solid.
Never having too many patterns for self-striping yarn, I designed these socks using self-striping yarn as the contrasting color in this Mosaic pattern. The changing color adds interest to an already fun pattern and is great for beginners who want to knit color work without having to worry about carrying your yarn or floats since you only knit with one color at a time!
In addition to the pattern, you need the following materials to knit Trestle socks:
- Biscotte Yarns – Bis-Sock (85% Merino Superwash and 15% Nylon), MC – 1x 50g skein (200 m / 219 yds) in Bisque & CC – 1x 100g skein (400 m / 435 yds) in Self-Striping Chasse Galerie color.
- 4 double-pointed needles (or long circular needles for knitting magic loop) in size 2.5mm).
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
SIZE : ONE SIZE : Length of foot: adjustable.
GAUGE : 36 sts = 10 cm – 4² in Stockinette Stitch
NOTE : The Trestle Socks are knit from the top down with an easy Mosaic pattern. For the heel of this pattern, I used the “Fish Lips Kiss Heel” which can be found HERE for just $1. Otherwise, the heel that I find fits the most like the FLK Heel is the Forethought heel. You can also choose to do the Afterthought Heel if you are comfortable cutting your knitting or any heel that you prefer!
