Another shawl pattern by Louise Robert Design worked with the famous seacell yarn: Algua Marina ♥
"A few years ago, I wrote a sock pattern called "Frozen Butterflies" in which I created a butterfly pattern by playing with cables and openwork stitches.
I really liked knitting this butterfly so I wanted to integrate it into a summer shawl so here comes the Summer Butterflies" - Louise Robert
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following to knit the Summer Butterflies shawl:
- Louise Robert Design | 3 skeins of Algua Marina (70% silk, 30% seacell, 250 metres (275 yds) per skein of 100g) illustrated in color KLIMT.
- Circular needles of 4 mm (US #6), cable of + 80 cm (or size needed to obtain gauge.)
- Beads (about 110) and a small piece of "tiger tail wire" to bead the stitches. *** For a tutorial illustrating how to bead the stitches, visit the following blog : How to bead a stitch
- Stitch markers
- 1 tapestry needle.
17 sts = 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after blocking
Length (measured from one point to the other) : 76 inches; 193 cm.
Height (measured in the center) : 19 inches; 50 cm.
