Here are our March 2025 Biscotte Mystery Sock Club pattern: the Perce-Neige Socks! Designed by Louise Robert, these socks feature a beautiful pattern that complements every self-striping color.
The original socks were crafted with an exclusive color for our club members, but we are now showcasing them to the world with the return of our yarn color, Rivière Du Loup!
I'm pleased to introduce Perce-Neige socks, named after the Snowdrop flower that blooms from January to March! This model features a pretty lace pattern that resembles clusters of bell-shaped flowers, perfect for celebrating the arrival of spring. To welcome the month of March, I think this project is ideal to knit, slowly but surely, our way to spring! - Louise Robert
You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!
THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES
- The Perce-Neige Socks knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
- BISCOTTE YARNS - BIS-SOCK [85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m per 100 g] - 1 SKEIN (in self-striping colorway) - shown in California Sunshine
*The original socks were made using an exclusive color for the Biscotte Mystery Sock Club. Therefore, this color is not available for purchase.
IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS
- DPN'S or circular needles (with cable lenght of 80cm (32'') for magic loop) of 2.5 mm (US 1.5) - or size required to obtain the gauge.
- Stitch marker (1)
- Tapestry needle
SIZES - ADULT ONE SIZE
The length of the foot is adjustable.
GAUGE
34 stitches = 10 cm (4'') in Stockinette Stitch and in the round.
NOTE
These socks are worked from the toe up, with a stitch pattern above the foot and around the leg.
To cast-on the stitches, I suggest an "alternative toes-up assembly" method that you can find on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/r-mhv0n5vs8
The technique proposed for knitting the heel was popularized in 2006 on the blog fleegleblog.blogspot.com, hence the name given to this heel, the "Fleegle heel".
The PERCE NEIGE pattern is worked on a multiple of 18 stitches and is available in both chart and written versions.
ENJOY! ♥
This pattern is sold in a digital pdf format: a link to download your pattern will be provided once the order is completed and you will also get this link by email (make sure to check your spams if you can't find the email in your inbox)
