Free Sock Pattern - Brown Eyed Girl Socks
This free sock pattern was designed by Louise Robert for the Biscotte Mystery Sock Club
This original sock pattern is perfect to use variegated hand-dyed yarn just as the ones you can find in our Limited Editions yarns collection.
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following material to knit these socks:
- Biscotte Yarns – Bis-Sock 100 g skein of any variegated or speckled yarn (shown in an exclusive hand-dyed yarn sent to Biscotte Mystery Sock Club members)
- Circular needles of US 1.5 (2.5 mm) – 32 in (80 cm) or +
- 12 inches of scrap yarn
- Tapestry needle
Gauge - 32 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Size - Adult one size (foot length is adjustable)
Note about the stitch pattern - You will find illustrations of rounds 10 and 11 of the stitch pattern at the end of the document. We have prepared a video showing how to work rounds 10 and 11 : Video is in french: please open English subtitles :)
Note about the heel - This sock pattern is worked with an « afterghought heel », which means that the heel is worked at the end. To watch how to work the afterthought heel method on Youtube, I recommand this video from TheKnitGirllls Tutorial Series : Afterthought Heel. You will also find illustrations at the end of the pattern to guide you.

Love this pattern - haven't started it yet.
Had a question about the delivery time. Emailed my question and had a response within two hours. Appreciate the quick response.
Love, Love, Love, the Pattern! Haven't made it to the afterthought heel part, but am excited to try & thankful a link to YouTube has been included because I'm a 'visual learner'. Thank-you so much for this free pattern!
This looks like the usual Biscotte pattern - excellent illusion effect that is easy to create. Thank you
