Big Bold Foliage | Knitting pattern with or without yarns

Rediscover the stunning sock pattern created by Louise Robert for the July 2021 Mystery Sock Club. Originally crafted using Bis-Sock yarn from Exclusive Color, the Big Bold Foliage pattern has been updated with a fresh selection of colors to align with our latest self-stripping yarns collection.

This pattern is worked from the top down with a heel flap. The stitch pattern used in this design creates an effect similar to the herring-bone stitch that makes the stripes of the Self Striped yarn ripple for an nice effect that stands out from the crowd!

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

IN ADDITION TO THIS KNITTING PATTERN OR KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• DPN or Circular needle of 2.25 mm (US 1) - or size needed to obtain the gauge.
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers (if needed)

34 stitches = 10 cm in stockinette stitch

NOTE

Like the chevron, this is a stitch pattern that compresses the knitting and has little stretch. As a result, the number of stitches to cast-on will seem excessive, but don't worry: your sock won't be too big! Also, be sure to check your gauge for the reasons stated above.
