This original sock pattern by Fiona Munro is fun, original and can of course be knit in many varieties of colors! Use your imagination!
These socks are knit from the ribs to the tip of the toe (top down) in an original Fairisle-style colorwork. The pattern includes a grid for the colorwork and the photos show sample knit with one Variegated Bis-Sock yarn as the contrasting color and one Self-Striping Bis-Sock as the main color
Materials needed:
- 2 skeins of Biscotte Yarns Bis-Sock (85% merino wool, 15% nylon), 100 grams/400 meters (437 yards)
- double pointed or circular needles 2.5mm (US 1.5) or size to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Sizes: S (M, L, XL) Foot Circumference: 7” (8”, 9”, 10”)
Gauge: 32 sts/40 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette
