Tipsor socks knitting pattern – a little skewed and a lot simple, always beautiful in gorgeous hand dyed self-striped yarn.
In addition to the knitting pattern, you need the following materials to knit the Tipsor sock pattern:
- 1 skein of Bis-Sock self-striping yarn (85% mérinos, 15% nylon; 400 meters - 100g) - shown in an exclusive color
ACCESSORIES
- Circular needle 2.5mm (US1.5) or size required to make gauge.
- Stitch markers (3)
SIZES: Foot/Leg Circumference approximately
Small: 15.25cm / 6 inches
Medium: 18cm / 7 inches
Large: 21cm / 8.25 inches
X Large: 24cm / 9.5 inches
Designed to be worn with 1 to 3.75cm / .5 to 1.5 inch negative ease through foot
GAUGE: 34 sts and 40 rows = 10cm/4 inches in stocking stitch in the round
NOTE: Tipsor are mid-calf socks with an elliptical stripe on the leg concluding at the heel turn. The design is suitable for self striping yarns where the stripes’ lengths vary and the colors have good contrast. To attain this striping effect the leg requires a greater than regular number of stitches for a sock so a longer run of at least one color works best.
