IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL

• Circular needles or DPN of 2.5 mm (US 1.5), cable length of 100 cm (40") - or size required to obtain the gauge.
• Circular needles or DPN of 2.75 mm (US 2), cable length of 100 cm (40") - or .25mm more than the size required to obtain the gauge.
• Tapestry needle

SIZE - ADULT

Small/Medium (Large)

Leg circumference 19 (21) cm; 7.5 (8.25)". Foot length is adjustable.

GAUGE

36 stitches = 10 cm (4") worked in the round, in mosaic stitch pattern with 2.75 mm needles.

NOTE

This pattern features a mosaic-knit pattern on the leg, i.e. you use only one color per round and the pattern is created by slipping the stitches. the contrasting color remains the same from start to finish and consists of C & E, knitted on a background color that changes every 26 rounds and alternates from A to C. For clarity in instruction, it will be mentioned to cut off the background colour between each 26-row stripe but feel free to cut these off or run them along the wrong side of the knitting. Since the mosaic stitch consists of slipped stitches, the patterned knitted area is less stretchy and slightly narrower. Consequently, the number of stitches and the size of the needles were increased when knitting the leg. This pattern can be knitted with a set of 5 double-pointed needles or circular needles. For double-pointed needles, please divide half the stitches between needles 1 and 2, and the other half between needles 3 and 4.
