In front of the bust, I played with garter stitch rows to create a simple pattern made of vertical lines in order to lengthen the silhouette but also to accentuate the effect of the pattern's construction, which is knitted from one sleeve to the other. Enjoy! - Louise
GAUGE 26 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm; 4 in on 3.5 mm after washing*** ATTENTION : Read carefully the notes below about the gauge.
*** The GRANOLA yarn used to knit this pattern is made of merino wool (70%) and hemp (30%). This yarn has the property to stretch a lot when wet and to regain its shape when dried in the machine. Therefore, it is very important to check your gauge after being washed and dried in the machine. If, after several washes and tumble dryings, you notice that the garment has shrunk a bit, spray it with a little water and dry it flat, stretching it to the desired size.

NOTES :This pattern is knitted sideways, from one sleeve to the other. If needed, please refer to the illustration about knitting directions at the end of the document. The design start with the first sleeve knitted in the round, and then sts are cast-on for the body, which is knitted back and forth. Then, the knitting separates in two, the front and the back are worked separately while the neckline is being made, then the two sections are joined again to finish the body in back and forth rows and the second sleeve in the round.

ERRATUM 2021-05-03 : according to the designer calculus, the smaller size would use a total of 202 grams. Therefore, we decided to revise the skein needed from 2 to 3 to make sure you won't run out of yarn. Sorry for the inconveniences.
I have started knitting this, but in fingering-weight yarn and being one of several projects on the go, it will be some time before I am in a position to provide a review and a rating. So far, the pattern appears well-written. The neckline as shown in the photos seems too wide for my taste (I don't like bra straps showing) so some modification may be required.
Thank you for offering this free pattern. I think I'd like to knit a seasons worth out of many colors in your Granola line.
I purchased the Vertiligne pattern 20 days ago having a stash of yarn that I was seeking inspiration to convert into a garment and am thrilled with the result! I have been knitting for over 40 years but have never knitted anything other than hem- up designs so this was different and interesting. The result is a perfect fitting short sleeved pull over and I am so happy with the fit, design and knitting experience I have commenced a second one already. Super happy.
Juste parfait 😍
It's a beautiful pullover. Can't wait to make it.
