Here is an undulating lace pattern combined with the changing color of a Biscotte-Mini yarn set for a delightful scarf or wrap. This wrap pattern is a design by Lana Jois for Biscotte Yarns which is fun to make and lovely to wear!!

Finished size

  • Scarf (Long scarf, Wrap)
  • 90 (120, 90)” length and 14 (14, 18)” width

Yarn

Needles Straight or circular knitting needles of US Size 6 (4mm)

Gauge 15 sts and 26 rows = 4” in lace pattern. Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but a change in gauge may result in different finished size and yarn requirements.

Notes
The shawl is knit sideways, on the bias. Instructions are for the scarf, with numbers for the long scarf and wrap in parenthesis. The lace stitch pattern forms undulating segments of colour broken by stripes of the contrast colour. This is achieved by working Rows 1 to 14, rows 17 to 30 and rows 33 to 46 with the main colours of the Biscotte-Mini yarn set (labeled MC1 through MC8), and working Rows 15, 16, 31, 32, 47 and 48 with the contrast colour (CC).

The stitch patterns may be worked from chart or written instructions.

Lovely Shawl

This might be the most beautiful shawl I have ever knitted. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. I am not a fast knitter, and it's coming along really quickly. The bias edge is so interesting. I really like dropped stitch patterns, and this pattern uses them really artistically. The pattern is well worth $5 because I think I am going to make another one in two colors. I am using the Nature Mini skein set as pictured and Fizwizbis in Vanille instead of Limonade just because I wanted something less yellow. All the yarn is gorgeous. It is so soft. The fade is perfect.
