Biscotte Yarns is pleased to show you the brand new shawl pattern designed by Lana Jois. The Mystic Leaves shawl is perfect for summer and is knitted with Granola yarn.

Leaf lace motifs are arranged on a lattice of lace and faux cables in this delicate shawl that is fun to make and lovely to wear.

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Mystic Leaves shawl:

  • Louise Robert CollectionGranola (70% Merino and 30% hemp, 300 m / 328 yds, 100g), 2 (2) skeins in Gingerbread.
  • 3.75mm (US # 5) needles: 80 cm; 32" circular needles are used to accommodate large number of stitches. If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.

GAUGE : 17 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm; 4” in Body lace pattern

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but a change in gauge may result in different finished size and yarn requirements.

So Pretty!

This is a beautiful, well-written pattern. The brilliant colors of the hand dyed yarn are unsurpassed. I plan to use a DK version with minor tweaks for gauge. My only concern is that it is knitted sideways, however, it is always good to try something new in order to increase skill level.

Adaptation for skirt

I was looking for an Estonian lace pattern or similar to adapt into a gored skirt with nupud featured. I really liked the leaf edge of this shawl and though I could incorporate a nupp into it near the bottom.
