The Wintery Scene Socks pattern was crafted by Lori Steinberg for one of our Biscotte Mystery Socks Club back in January 2022 ! It is an ideal sock pattern to knit by the fireside on a charming snowy winter day! The leg features beautiful winter-themed colorwork, followed by a relaxing and simple stockinette stitch foot and an afterthought heel.
You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

- Waste yarn of similar weight and contrasting color for holding heel sts.
SIZES - ADULT
One size circumference 8”/20cm around the foot Sock size can be increased by adding multiples of 6 sts, then working an additional rep of first 6 sts of chart 1 or a whole 12-st rep of chart 1. Be sure to purchase additional yarn for larger sizes.
GAUGE
32 sts and 48 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in one color St st using smaller dpns. Please check your gauge for best results.
NOTE
These socks are worked from cuff to toe with an afterthought heel. The legs feature a lovely wintery scene made from stranded colorwork. When working the chart, carry color not being used loosely across the WS of work, and be sure to catch the floats every 2 or 3 sts so that fabric will stretch enough to go over your heel. This pattern can be worked with dpns or circular needles. If using dpns, distribute evenly the sts on 3 needles: 24 sts on each.
