Discover now, our very first dog pattern designed by Louise Robert!!! šŸ•

Do you share the same love for animals as we do? After a great demand, here is the perfect jacket for your pet.

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Wisky's sweater:

  • Louise Robert Yarn – Merino Worsted [100% merino sw, 200 m / 100 g] 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) ā–Ŗ (2, 3, 3, 4) skein(s) or 60 (89, 141, 200, 254) ā–Ŗ (332, 410, 541, 700) meters of worsted weight yarn.
  • Circular needles of 5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge) and 4.5 mm (or one size smaller than the size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers.

GAUGE - 18 sts & 24 rows = 4" (10cm) in stiockinette stitch with 5mm.

SIZES - 2XS (XS, S, M, L) ā–Ŗ (XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) ***Please refer to the size chart at the end of this document.

NOTE Since the length of the body is easily adjustable, I advise you to choose the size that best fits the circumference of the chest.

The diagram on the left will be used as a reference throughout the project and the arrow indicates the direction of the knitting.

Whisky's Sweater

The sweater turned out great. I made the largest size, as the dog is big.
The instructions are clear and it is easy to make.

My Sweater

This sweater pattern is just what I was looking for. The dog who will be wearing it is a black German shepherd that a friend is fostering from ElderDog Canada. I knit the size 4XL and used a US9/5.5 needle. I used a worsted acrylic yarn and it is so soft…my cats thought it was for them.

I’ll definitely be making this sweater again is different sizes.

His measurements are 21ā€ around the neck, 35ā€ around the middle, and 36ā€ from neck to end of body. Just hoping it will fit him. The foster mum took measurements and then I knit using these measurements…

Would love to show you a picture
