Short & Sweet | Sock Pattern
Biscotte Yarns is pleased to present Andrea Yetman's new sock design. The Short & Sweet is perfect for summer with its ankle length!
"Featuring little lace flowering blossoms these shortie socks make for a very relaxing yet fun project! Shortie socks are by far my favorite style of sock to wear and knit. Although “Short & Sweet”, these little socks were very hard to put down especially being knit in the deliciously soft Super Sock yarn by Louise Robert Yarns." - Andrea
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Short & Sweet sock:
- Louise Robert Yarns Collection – Super Sock (75% Merino Superwash and 25% Nylon, 400 m / 437 yds, 100 g), 1 skein in color Metal
- 4 double-pointed needles (or circular needles for knitting in the round) 2.5mm (US #1.5).
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
SIZE – ONE SIZE : Length of foot: adjustable.
GAUGE : 30 sts = 10 cm – 4²
NOTE : These socks are knit from the top down with the heel flap starting directly following the cuff.

Easy to follow instructions and socks are so lovely. I used four left over balls of yarn to make them scrappy socks.
The first time I had knitted this type of heel, had a bit of a mix up with the arrangement of stitches on the needles, ( magic loop).So on the second sock I`ve done my own thing and this seems better. I am using a multi coloured yarn, I think it would be easier with a plain yarn. I will give it another go anyway. Possibly try a longer length for winter. regards Kathleen.
