Description

Discover the beautiful Mikela pattern by Evelyn Siatra. This pattern highlights the beauty of Granola yarn.

Two different geometrical color-work patterns are combined intelligently with color-blocking, for a contemporary take on a classic crew-neck sweater.

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Mikela sweater:

  • Louise Robert Collection Granola (70% Merino wool and 30% Hemp; 300 m / 328 yds; 100 g): MC – Ecume: 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins. CC1 – Tudors: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins. CC2 – Canevas: 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins.
  • 4 mm (US #6) Circular needles with cable length of 40 cm (16") &+. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers (optional).

SIZES : S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).

Sample shown in Size S, 90 cm / 35 ½" bust worn with 9 cm / 3 ½" ease.

To fit 81 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132, 142, 152.5) cm / 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60)" bust with 9 cm / 3 ½" ease.

Refer to the table at the end of this document for complete final measurements.

GAUGE : 26 sts and 28.5 rows = 10 cm / 4" in colour-work pattern after wet blocking.

Notes The front, back and set-in sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together. The hems are worked in single ribbing.

I am currently looking for the right yarn for this pattern. It will be fun to knit, when I am set.

Such a lovely feminine pattern, well written, unbelievable that such a great design was offered for free! Thank you.
The colour combo is so clever, equally classy for dressing up and for pairing with jeans and ballet pumps.

Notes very helpful on how to work with colors and avoid holes. Interesting to knit.
