This hand-dyed artisanal yarn is no ordinary knitting yarn: the designer behind the knitting patterns Louise Robert Design meticulously created this beautiful collection.

It's by studying the color pallets that represent her life and career over the years that designer Louise Robert was able to imagine all of the variety available in these hand-dyed artisanal yarns.

Camaïeu, or en camaïeu, is a term used in the arts to describe a painting process using several tones and tints of the same color. For me, the term ‘‘monochromatic’’ reminds me of an oil painting on canvas, Man and Woman Contemplating the Moon, painted by Caspar David Friedrich, during my studies in History of Art. - 𝑳𝒐𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒆
