It's by studying the color pallets that represent her life and career over the years that designer Louise Robert was able to imagine all of the variety available in these hand-dyed artisanal yarns.
NYMPHÉAS is the French name for a type of water lily, grown on the water for the beauty of their white, red, yellow or blue flowers. It is also the name given to a series of canvases painted by Claude Monet towards the end of his career. The theme of which was based on his flower gardens, especially the lily pads. This yarn is so nice! Soft yet with a firm hand - perfect for socks and shawls. Not sure what this will become yet, but I had to have it! The color looks more distinctly coral and orange in the picture - IRL, it's a lot softer contrast. Gorgeous colors none the less!
The plummy richness of this yarn color is just fantastic! Super Sock is wonderful to work with. I think this is going to make a gorgeous shawl, maybe in mosaic with a lighter color to set it off!
