The Everyway Pullover is a unique drop shoulder pattern that can be knitted from the top down with several yarn weights! The pattern contains all the information to knit and customize your pullover with different sleeve lengths, textured cuffs, pocket additions, and yarn blends.

Knit this pullover with us in a knit-along! The KAL starts on October 7, 2024. To participate, you only need to get the pattern here, pick any yarn from lace to worsted weight, and join our Facebook group!

The Everyway Pullover is a versatile and unique pattern by Andrea Yetman that allows you to express your creativity. Whether you prefer different sleeve lengths, cuff textures, pockets, or yarn blends, this pattern has got you covered.

Initially published in 2019, this pattern was re-edited in 2024 by Louise Robert to add two extra sizes, making it size-inclusive. Louise also included notes about sleeve shaping, different yarn options, and blends to achieve the desired gauge.

NOTES ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION

This pullover is knit top down in a drop-sleeve construction. Since this is my favorite style of pullover, I decided to knit it in alternate yarn weights and slightly change each one to show how you can have a favorite style pullover but not look like you are wearing the same one every day!

The instructions are the same for each weight, but follow the tables for your yarn weight and size. Fingering and Sport weights are in the same section as a change in needle size was all that was required to obtain the same gauge.

This pullover looks great when worn with a positive ease that can vary between 2-6 inches.

NOTE FROM THE EDITOR ABOUT THE YARN

If you want to work with two strands, you may hold :

  • 2 strands of DK weight to get a worsted weight gauge;
  • 2 strands of fingering weight to get a DK weight gauge;
  • 1 strand of fingering + lace weight to get a DK weight gauge;
  • Two strands of lace weight to get a fingering weight gauge;

The following lace-weight yarns are available in our collection:

  • Cashsilk Lace [50% cashmere, 50% silk, 395m / 50g]
  • Hermione [75% kid mohair, 25% silk, 420m / 50g]
  • Kid Silk [75% kid mohair, 25% silk, 210m / 25g]
  • Petite Suri [75% Baby Suri Alpaca, 25% Silk, 420m / 50g]

Due to the nature of this pattern and the different sleeve options provided, the amount of yarn required is only an estimate.

Everyway pullover re-review!

I made a mistake on my first review! ALWAYS USE A CALCULATOR WHEN FIGURING GAUGE!! I apologize to the designer and Biscotte Yarn!
I really love this pattern, especially the shoulders. I look forward to the KAL on Monday!

Everyway Pullover

I have started knitting the Everyway Pullover. I’m using two strands of cone yarn (made for machine knitting). My gauge is for fingering/sport with size 4 needles @ 24 stitches = 4”. I’m making the large which should be 46” finished bust. The number of stitches for the large body (304 stitches) makes the body measure over 50”! Way too big! I ripped out the body and decreased under the arms and now it fits great!
I love the pattern of the shoulders without a seam!

Such a versatile pattern.

An easy topdown and seamless sweater - sometimes you just need a break from the more complicated things in life. This is really 8 patterns for the price of one. Clearly laid out and straight forward instructions. I’m sure I’ll be making several of these variations. Great value.
