Discover Donna Estin's latest design: A beautiful Poncho knitted with our Granola yarn. This yarn is perfect for any event.

This drapey poncho is the perfect layering piece for warmer weather. A wavey lace border runs along the bottom and an all-over fishtail lace is worked on the rest of the poncho with a portion of stockinette separating the two. It is slipped on over the head and the front rests gently across the collar bone. The back drops down to a V which allows the ends to create a cascading effect of fabric, giving extra length in the back.

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Mill End Poncho:

  • Louise Robert CollectionGranola, (300 m / 328 yds, 70% Merino and 30% Hemp, 100g): 4 (4, 5, 5) skeins in Loch colorway. Total yarn needed 919 (1098, 1260, 1398) m ;1005 (1201, 1378, 1529) yds.
  • Size 3.5mm (US 4) needles, straight or circular
  • Size 4.0mm (US 6) needles, straight or circular
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

GAUGE

  • 20 sts and 30 rows = 10cm; 4” over Border Lace on smaller needles, blocked
  • 20 sts and 26 rows = 10cm; 4” over Fishtail Lace on smaller needles, blocked
  • 20 sts and 28 rows = 10cm; 4” over St st on larger needles, blocked

NOTES : Seamless construction begins with the bottom border, which is worked flat lengthwise, then turned on its side. Stitches are picked up along the top, and garment is then worked flat from the bottom up. Center neck stiches are bound off and outer edges are joined together with three-needle bind off.
