Foliage is a seamless, baby-girl dress worked in round from the top down. This baby dress pattern is an original design by Deetara for Biscotte Yarns.
The front and the back up to the bodice are worked plain then the body is worked in lace pattern to the end of skirt. After the raglan yoke is complete, the sleeves and body are separated. It has a full princess skirt. This is designed with positive ease, so there will be lots of room to grow into it. This pattern is worked flat in rows then in the round from the top down.
Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm): 16" and 24” circular needle; US size 4 (3.5 mm): a set of 4 DPNs needles; US size 5 (3.75 mm): 24" circular (only for skirt hem lace pattern C)
Notions: Stitch markers (1 of different color to mark beginning of round); removable markers (as needed for skirt pattern); stitch holders; tapestry needle; three buttons (size1/2"- 12mm).
Gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rows in St st over 4 inches(10cm) on 3.50 mm (U.S. #4) needles after wet blocking.

I downloaded this pattern to make a gift in a hurry for a friend’s little girl. The instructions are easy to follow, construction is logical, and I don’t remember any obvious mistakes. The garment knitted up fast and was a real hit with the receiver.
