Biscotte Yarns

Down To The Stream | Pull Oversize free pattern

We are pleased to introduce this new oversize pullover by Rita Taylor. Knitted with our very popular Dk Pure hand-dyed yarn, this sweater is the one you need to keep you warm during the cold season.

This oversized mellow and trendy sweater is the perfect piece to wear with skinny jeans, or add a belt to it for a figure-flattering evening look. You can also wear it as is for a relaxing afternoon! One way or the other, you will get “Down to the stream”…

In addition to the free knitting pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the sweater Down to the stream:

Gauge:21 m and 28 rows: 10cm/4" X 10cm/4" jersey, with 4mm needles.

Size:One size only : bust circumference : about 130cm/51in; length : 66cm/26in : sleeve : 32cm/12½po

Note: This sweater is worked entirely in back and forth rows. The front and the back of this sweater are worked separately. They both start with 2 panels worked diagonally in garter stitch and assembled together in a wider band to create the lower part of the sweater. Then, sts are picked up on the top of these bands to work the upper part of the sweater in stockinette stitch.

I haven't cast-on for this project yet; have a large afghan on the needles, though really looking forward to knitting this design. Thank you for the lovely patterns.

Down to the Stream

Love this pattern. I read it carefully and can’t wait to get started. But... decisions, decisions: I am still debating which of 2 different color combos to pick.

Easy, fun knit

I was looking for an easy, oversized pullover for a varigated yarn I’ve had in the stash for awhile. Paired with DK Pure in Tudors. Turns out, the diagonal interest with contrasting yoke and sleeves makes for an unfussy but attractive Saturday pullover. Knitting went very fast, and the construction is very straightforward. Thank you for making this pattern available for free!
