Cheyenne Cañon Wrap | Knitting Kit

Inspired by the majestic beauty of Cheyenne Cañon in Colorado, this shawl captures the essence of its soaring rock formations, the vibrant hues of the Colorado sky, and the cool breeze always present at a high altitude.

The Cheyenne Cañon Wrap features simple mosaic colorwork, eyelets, and rows upon rows of wrapped stitches, which means this shawl knits up quickly and effortlessly!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDE

• LOUISE ROBERT COLLECTION -  GRANOLA [70% Merino wool, 30% Hemp; 300 m per 100 g] - 4 SKEINS - shown in
  • (MC) 2 SKEINS - in Delacroix for the orange sample and Chopin for the brown sample
  • (CC1) 1 SKEIN - in Nature for the orange sample and Loch for the brown sample
  • (CC2) 1 SKEIN - in Tudors for the orange sample and Canevas for the brown sample

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL

• Circular needles 3.5 mm (US 4) - cable lenght of at least 24” (60cm) - or the size required to obtain the gauge.
• Circular needles 4 mm (US 6) - cable lenght of at least 24” (60cm) - or the size required to obtain the gauge.
• Circular needles 4.5 mm (US 7) - cable lenght of at least 24” (60cm) - or the size required to obtain the gauge.
  
• Tapestry needle
  
• Stitch markers (10)

SIZE - ONE SIZE

Approx. finished measurements: Length: 51” (130 cm) x Depth: 18” (46 cm)

GAUGE

21 sts / 44 rows = 4” (10cm) in Mosaic Colorwork using larger needles (4.5 mm (US7)) after wet blocking.

Exact gauge is not critical. However, deviation from the gauge will affect the size of the shawl and yarn requirements.

NOTE

If you use Granola, the suggested yarn, it has the property of stretching a lot when wet and shrinking again as it dries, especially if you use a machine to dry the yarn (as suggested by the manufacturer). If you machine wash/dry the project, rather than wet block your project, the measurements will likely vary from the approximated measurements.
