AVATAR - Hat & Neck Warmer free knitting pattern

Here is a nice and easy neck warmer & hat pattern that is made by doubling two sock yarn (fingering weight) together.

The model shown here was knitted by using two balls of Bis-Sock Metamorph (gradiant / ombre style) yarn and since the two balls are not from the same colors, the two gradient colors blend into each other for a unique and spectacular effect!

If you wish to knit only one project (neck warmer or hat) you can use a single ball of Bis-Sock Metamorph yarn by knitting with the end that comes out from the center of the ball and double it with the opposite end that you will find outside of the ball.

In addition to the knitting pattern, you will need the following to knit the AVATAR hat and neck warmer:

Biscotte yarns - Bis-Sock Metamorph (85% merino sw, 15% nylon, 400m /100g).

DPN or circular needles of 4.5 mm (ou the size needed to obtain gauge)

Tapestry needle

SIZES : Adult S (M, L)

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE : 16" (17", 18") ; 41 (43.5, 46.5) cm.

Quick and easy

This is a quick, easy pattern and a great stash buster! I held 2 fingering yarns together, a solid medium gray-blue with a wildly variegated yarn that I didn’t much care for. The solid toned down the variegated, and I ended up with a great hat and cowl that go with most everything.

Wonderful pattern. I actually downloaded this twice and already knitted these items for a gift several months ago. She loved them

Well written pattern

This is a basic pattern but very well written. It gives a nice looking wearable, although I use one strand of worsted instead of two strands of fingering.
