Louise Robert Design unveiled the stunning Summer Butterfly shawl, originally knitted in luxurious seacell yarn Algua Marina. We've created a version just for you in our exquisite GRANOLA yarn!

"A few years ago, I wrote a sock pattern called "Frozen Butterflies" in which I created a butterfly pattern by playing with cables and openwork stitches.

I really liked knitting this butterfly so I wanted to integrate it into a summer shawl so here comes the Summer Butterflies" - Louise Robert

With each kit, you get :

  • The Summer Butterflies shawl pattern by Louise Robert Design. (The pattern is written for knitting in Algua Marina and installing beeds. The new version does not work with pearls)
  • Louise Robert Collection - GRANOLA [70% Merino wool, 30% Hemp; 300 m per 100 g] 3 skeins illustrated in Herbarium

In addition to the knitting kit, you will need the following material to knit the Summer Butterflies shawl:

  • Circular needles of 4 mm (US #6), cable of + 80 cm (or size needed to obtain gauge.)
  • Stitch markers
  • 1 tapestry needle.
  • In the original version, the shawl includes beeds. In the granola version, we haven't included them. If you'd like your shawl to have beads, here's the link to complete your kit . Beads (about 110) and a small piece of “wire” for beading the stitches . *** For a tutorial illustrating how to bead knitwear, visit the following blog : How to bead a stitch

Gauge: 20 sts = 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after blocking

Fabulous Yarn

I just finished chart one of Summer Butterflies so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will turn out but I can definitively say I love the Granola yarn(. It’s just fun to knit with and feels absolutely lush. I really like the rustic qualities of the yarn it just adds a bit of oomph.
