The winter chill is starting to ease away. The calendar says spring is here. It’s only a matter of time until the weather catches up. Saying goodbye to winter doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to knitting. There are lots of fabulous spring knitting projects you can to do to herald in the new blooms.

Lacey Shell

Spring is a great time to strut your fashion and show off some curves, but it’s cool enough to need a little extra coverage. Fingering weight yarn is great for creating a delicate that both accents and warms. Give this shell a try with our Sparkle LUMOS in Fraise. The delicate, soft pink will create an elegant and feminine lacey shell.

Lace Stockings

Ready to show off a little leg, but not quite ready to go bare and get goosebumps? These knit lace stockings give you some warmth and keep you feeling sexy. And when you get compliments on them you’ll be able to proudly say you made them yourself. Try this with our sparkly vanilla colored fingering weight yarn to a bit of glitz.

Spring Cardigan

Heavy sweaters are being packed away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make and wear a lovely spring cardigan. Lightweight sweaters with short sleeves can add a bit of color and warmth to any outfit. Give your wardrobe a splash of color when you make this with our sorbet sparkly yarn.

High Fashion Shawl

Knitting for spring can mean you want something that capitalizes on the current fashion trends. This fringed shawl pattern means you can do just that. It easily fits around your shoulders and is casual enough to wear with jeans while still dress enough to wear on a night out. Our nuit colored yarn would be perfect for this project.

Girl’s Skirt

Little girls like to deck out for spring too. You can make them a sweet skirt they’ll be proud to show off. Depending on their age and interest level, you can even have them help and make it into a mother-daughter bonding experience. Try it with one of our self-striping yarns in your daughter’s favorite colors.

What spring knitting project will you do to herald in the warmer weather? Send us pictures of your favorite projects, especially ones you made with our hand-dyed yarn. We love to see how people work the yarn up into fabulous projects. Until next time, happy knitting!
