My Sweater

This sweater pattern is just what I was looking for. The dog who will be wearing it is a black German shepherd that a friend is fostering from ElderDog Canada. I knit the size 4XL and used a US9/5.5 needle. I used a worsted acrylic yarn and it is so soft…my cats thought it was for them.

I’ll definitely be making this sweater again is different sizes.

His measurements are 21” around the neck, 35” around the middle, and 36” from neck to end of body. Just hoping it will fit him. The foster mum took measurements and then I knit using these measurements…

Would love to show you a picture

The pattern was easy to follow, including using short rows for increasing the chest area. The openings for the leash and buttonholes are easy to do.
