Garland of Stitches Wrap - KNITTING PATTERN
Here is one of the models that you missed in the Advent Calendar 2022! The Garland wrap is created from an assortment of 6 colors, each one more beautiful than the other.
"To celebrate the holidays, I invite you to dance the German-style waltz of shortened rows! You will then be able to wrap yourself in festive colored garlands! Enjoy this project!" - Louise
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Garland wrap:
- Louise Robert Collection SUPER SOCK [75% merino, 25% nylon; 400 m / 100 g]
- 50g x Beige (A)*
- 50g x Taupe (B)*
- 50g x Speckled pink (C)*
- 50g x Pale pink (D)*
- 50g x Purple (E)*
- 50g x Aigue Marine (F)*
*These colors are exclusive to this project, so you can get the knitting kit HERE!
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
- Needles of 3.5 mm; US #4 (or size needed to obtain gauge) - preferably a circular needle of at least 40"; 100 cm to support the large number of stitches;
- Tapestry needle;
- Stitch markers if needed.
GAUGE: 22 sts = 10 cm; 4” before blocking.
DIMENSIONS AFTER BLOCKING: 158 cm; 62” x 32 cm; 12 ½”
NOTES: this pattern is worked lengthwise in back-and-forth rows. The garlands are knitted in German short rows and each garland is separated by a garter stitch band of 4 rows. For more details about German short rows and a video on this technique, visit our website here
