Description

You bought a single skein of sock yarn on a whim and don't have a pattern to use it? ''That's All Right'', we've got one for you!

This shawl is named in tribute to the first single recorded ''That's all Right'' by Elvis Presley at Sun Studio. It's the perfect way to show off a special skein of sock yarn that you've been saving for a special occasion!

IN ADDITION TO KNITTING PATTERN, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL TO KNIT THIS SHAWL

↪The That's All Right Shawl knitting kit is also available HERE

  • Circular or Straight needles of 4 mm - US 6 (or the size required to obtain the gauge)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scales (optionally used to divide yarn into two equal halves)

GAUGE

26 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in pattern.

Obtaining the exact GAUGE is not mandatory to complete this pattern. However, if your tension is looser than the suggested gauge, you may run out of yarn to complete this pattern. In this case, I suggest you use a scale to separate your yarn into two equal halves so you don't run out of yarn.

FINAL DIMENSIONS

WIDTH = 213 cm; 84" and HEIGHT = 28 cm; 11"

NOTES: This shawl is worked horizontally, using the first half of the skein to knit the increasing part and the second half of the skein to knit the decreasing part.

The stitch pattern is available in both: written and chart format

Just finished

I’m very pleased with how this turned out. I just need to put the tassels on. It blocked out to the size stated in the pattern. I was concerned that I might need to stretch the texture out of it to get it big enough. No need to worry … it turned out very well. I just need to add the tassels. The pattern was clear and well-written. I would do this pattern again. Thank you!

Easy, but...

Easy pattern, but no TV-knitting. But I love it already

All in all a decent pattern

The pattern is working up fine. I haven't found any mistakes, everything is clearly written. Tad bit boring even with at least a 10 row repeat. You have to keep track pretty closely but it will be a beautiful final project. You do have to use space dyed yarns if you want a color mix. Stripes, even the most subtle, won't work.

Wonderful texture!

This is a lovely pattern! I used handspun. The variation in stitches keeps it interesting, but not difficult. The resulting texture is very attractive. Highly recommend!
