Description

Knitting kit with self-striping sock yarn and a fun knitting pattern.

This sock pattern design was written for the Biscotte Mystery Sock Club - July 2016.

Since this pattern is inspired by the Cheshier Cat from the wonderful world of Alice in Wonderland, we had to think of an original way of knitting these socks. So here is a sock pattern that start from the heel : the leg and foot are worked from the heel stitches.

You can find a video about the alternative toes-up cast-on that was used on this pattern on YOUTUBE HERE

Have fun !!

In addition to this knitting kit, you'll need the following material to knit these socks:

  • Needles of 2.5 (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Cable needle

The pattern is sent in PDF format: you will receive a link to download the knitting pattern after checkout.

      Very awkward to knit.

With persistence, I'll finish the pair I'm working on, but I won't use this pattern again. Working on it, with needles everywhere, is like wrestling an octopus. It doesn't fit as well as a standard pattern either. Interesting design...just not for me.

      Fun Pattern

I have been having so much fun with this pattern. I learned by doing how to change the size of the sock. This is fun and works fast. I have practiced this pattern with other yarns and they sure are different. Can't wait to use the yarn that is in the picture. Love, love ,love the crazy look.

      beautiful yarn; intriguing pattern!

Although I have yet to get this on the needles, the beautiful yarn and intriguing pattern have me looking forward to getting some things finished off so I can start working in this kit.
