To knit the Candy Wafer Socks pattern, you will need the following materials:
- Louise Robert Design β Super Sock (75% Merino Superwash and 25% Nylon, 400m / 437yds, 100g), 1 skein in Fontainebleau (MC)
- Biscotte Yarns β Bis-Sock (85% Merino Superwash and 15% Nylon, 200m / 219yds, 50g), 1 skein in Bonbon. (CC)
- 4 double-pointed needles (or long circular needles for knitting magic loop) in size 2.25mm (US#1)
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
SIZE β ONE SIZE : Length of foot: adjustable.
GAUGE : 36sts = 10 cm; 4 in in Stockinette Stitch
NOTE : The Candy Wafer Socks are knit from the top down with an easy to memorize, yet engaging, front panel.

was looking for a pattern called wafer stitch from a friend in Holland, but she translated the word wrong. it should've been waffle stitch. I now have her version of it from Holland and it's not the same as wafer stitch.

I am enjoying making these socks immensely. It is my first time to make a heel like this, as well as a moss/seed stitch heel.
The directions are well thought out and eay to follow. I just wish that there were more space between sections, as it is a little difficult to read at a glance.
For someone who primarily knits with self striping yarn, I found the Candy Wafer pattern and the biscotte yarn to be top rate. Loved making these socks !
I got the pattern but I have not yet knit it so I cannot in good conscience rate the product.
