I just love the wonderful color combinations in the Biscotte self striping sock yarns. The ladybug, watermelon and apple's heart are spectacularly fun.
I bought this yarn after eyeing it for a couple of days, and I'm so happy I did! It's a beautiful yarn, beautiful colours, incredibly soft, and am so excited to cake the yarn and knit with it!
Also, the service was incredible. It came very quickly, and I even got an email from Biscotte thanking me for my purchase!
One thing I do wish, though, is that the yarn was available for purchase in Canadian Dollars.
As my first yarn club, I was delighted to open two skeins of 50% silk, 50% merino that felt so lovely and the colours are rich, deep, and lovely in contrast. A suggested Chasing Blizzard shawl pattern was selected and cast on. Although a simple pattern, ( so far) the colours and drape are lovely ! Then my friend retires and I quickly dedicate this knit to her!!! I believe I'll enjoy the knit but my caution is ...I sure hope the dye is fast as I'll cry if it bleeds or runs, I'll flip out ! Here's keeping my fingers crossed while not knitting !
I enjoyed thispattern and did make the slippers for my grand daughter.
I haven't made them yet.
Received my order quickly and in good condition. The yarn is beautiful. I only have one request-can I get the Bis-sock in a slightly thicker fingering weight. I live in the upper midwest and just like my socks a little thicker but not quite as thick as DK.
I haven't used the yarn yet, but I like the color
So very happy with my purchase of 2 skeins of this wonderful yarn! As soon as they arrived, I caked them and cast on a project right away. So so soft! Perfect for a toddler hat and scarf! Super service! I will be ordering more yarn in the future!
So simple to use, thanks
The blue is darker and the white stripes narrower than pictured. But they are a gift for a friend, and who knows - she may prefer this look. That said, the yarn is a dream to knit. The yarn quality is superb. The socks are soft, and I'm told they will wear very well.
I ordered this to work the heels and toes of Laundry Day and another yarn with blue and yellow stripes. Perfect match, and there should be enough left to make a pair of child's lace socks. The yarn is soft and smooth and a pleasure to knit.
I really love these needles.thanks again for the fast service,it's just what I wanted
Can't wait to try the pattern
As soon as I get through the 1000 other projects going (or maybe before), I will get to this wonderful yarn! Thanks!
very nice,will order again
Love the yarn! It is totally up to your high standards!
Haven't had time to use this pattern yet. Looks great!
I'll probably not use it. The font is too hard to read.
I haven't used the pattern yet.
I'm knitting this sock pattern now. Very easy to follow, and I'm very pleased with the results. Can't wait to finish so I can wear them and show off the great pattern.
I just found this Canadian Indie Dyer and I will certainly order again. All of the yarn I purchased was of high quality and as described.
Very well written and slippers did not take long to make.
Beautiful shawl pattern! Can't wait to get started on this project !
The colors are exquisite. Yarn is super-soft.
Louise Robert's Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend shawl in melon was on display at the Vogue Knitting event in NYC recently. It was stunning. Truly very unique. Needless to say, the yarn and patterns sold out in a flash. I ordered my yarn online. Each triangle looks just like a piece of watermelon, regardless of what color you start with. It is absolutely adorable. People at a recent charity knitting event in Connecticut were raving about Biscotte yarns, and Louise's patterns. Also look for Nova Scotian Sheeps - hat and mitten sets. Too cute!
The yarn I ordered arrived promptly and I started knitting within days. Love the quality. It doesn't split. The colors are vivid. It slides smoothly on the needles and I ordered several self striping color ways and can't wait to move on to the next!
I must say your "Non felted slippers" is the best.I made it for me and my children.
My first slipper was bigger than what I want.(Because I used bigger needles.) So I washed them in Washing Machine. Now perfect! Thank you so much from Germany.
Thank you so much for the wonderful pattern! It is well written and simple. Once you do one, you barely need the directions for the second one. It is an excellent way to use up that last bit of leftover yarn.
Beautiful colors, lovely to knit with!
I had problems when starting a new triangle. After picking up and k22 on left side of triangle (23 stitches), turn to wrong side, cast on 45 stitches and begin a new triangle. The yarn between the 23rd stitch ended up being attached to the top of the next triangle. Has anyone else had this problem? What am I doing wrong? I ended up cutting it, and starting the other triangles separately.
I discovered your patterns and yarn at the NYC Vogue Live show and I'm glad I did. Wonderful patterns and beautiful yarn! Thanks
Can't wait to knit this beautiful shawl
I have narrow ankles snd prefer a heel flap heel. I was looking for a tie up heel flap when I found this one. It fits great and is so comfortable.
I absolutely love this pattern it is very simple and straight forward. I made it with a chunky wool yarn (Wash and Filz it multicolor)
There is only one size and I find that the pattern is very narrow. I would love to make more I did a second pair with 4 less rows and it was ok, but still narrow. I also wanted to increase the height of the split cuff. How would I widen the slipper and heighten the cuff?
Thanks so much for the pattern and your input.
I learned new heel construction. I love your yarn but it is too expensive order from USA those yarns.
It's beautiful and I can wait to get started on this. Just finished the slippers so now on to this project❤
Great directions. Easy to read.
I am sorry to say I could not complete new slipper pattern, I went back to old one you join; with I do love and do love and understand. I even went to knitting class. in our town to figure out new pattern. I found it too complex, so I gave up. As a rule I don't do that but I do really like slippers. I thought new ones I would not have to join, but for me it did not work out. No problem.
Great yarn. Love the softness of the fibers.
Fun pattern to make.
I love this pattern. It is unique and a conversation starter.
i love these rwo patterns!!! they are fairly easy to knit and no worries about felting!!!Thank you so much, my family is clamoring for their pair!!!
Hate to say it......haven't done anything yet. In the pattern pile! Looking forward to making it in April while on vacation.
I have 1 1/2 socks done now, and I love this pattern. I would never have thought of starting a sock from the heel, but it works.
Next time I am going to do things a little differently:
- use Eye of Partridge or some other cushioning stitch for the heel increase section
- do the foot first, so I can make the leg as long as possible.
Thanks for this great pattern!
I loved this pattern so easy to make❤.. it's the first time for me to do a grafting of stitches still learning this step
I am intrigued by this pattern but am not starting anything new until I have finished a few more UFO's. Looking for a heel that I love
The Limited Edition beauties, No. 9 and No. 10 are wonderful. These experiments are definitely unique and will make my Find Your Fade shawl one of a kind! Thank you!
Have enjoyed introducing Biscotte Sock to my customers. Nice compliments on softness and colors.
I have the yarn picked out and hope to start next week. Can't wait to see the finished project
I'm a fairly new knitter; I've been knitting for just 1 year. Even so, I found this pattern relatively easy to follow and successfully completed the slipper.
There was one issue with the pattern that a fellow knitter on Ravelry.com was able to clear up for me: the printed version I received, in the section "Feet brim" rounds 3 and 5 have these words in them, "knit 8 end,". The word "end" needs to be deleted from the instructions for them to make sense. Once you delete those words, it is all good!
I found the pattern very well written and
the slippers were easy to make
The pattern says to use Biscotte's Gobelin which is a worsted weight yarn. I substituted Red Heart worsted weight. As I understand it, you're supposed to double the yarn. In order to get the correct gauge with doubled yarn, I had to use SIZE 5 needles. This made a nice heavy slipper, but it sure was hard on my hands! I wonder if I misunderstood that part?
There were several times I wished that the pattern included the stitch count for each row.
I received this as a birthday gift last month. I am knitting up my socks right now ON 2.25 needles, and I LOVE IT. The yarn is a pleasure to touch, and it flies right off the needles - finished the first sock in just over 24 hours. I started the second sock a couple of hours ago, and I am almost halfway down the leg - the yarn practically knits itself.
Now I want to get some in a "solid" colorway, as I think it will be fantastic for lacework.
This pattern is well written and easy to read charts. I'm almost finished with my first sock and I'm loving how they're coming out.
excellent patterns!! very well written
Definitely my new go-to knitted slipper pattern. I made a large sized pair for myself and was done in one evening. Used nearly all of my 100g skein of yarn. Love a quick one skein project
These socks are currently on my needles. They are too, too cute! Thank you.
I love the look of this slipper. Unfortunately, got a lost in the instructions. Will give it another go.
As a lover of Harry Potter, when I came across this pattern, I HAD to have it. Then I knit it up, and it looks so awesome! So I came back and ordered many other patterns. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to start them yet. But I'm sure I'll love them as much as I love this one!
Well, they are simply scrumptious! Easy, fun, quick and adorable. Thank you so much for sharing. I had seen booties like this, but never thought they'd be so easy.
I loved the color. I loved that it came as two ready to knit cakes. I would recommend this yarn club to all my knitter friends. So glad I signed up.
This is my first time to subscribe to this yarn club. I love the colors of this yarn and look forward to knitting up my socks. I am not crazy about the pattern so I think I will use another pattern instead. Will be anxious to see what the next shipment will bring.
I have not had a chance to start this pattern yet. I am looking forward to start soon. Looks like a nice shawl.
I did receive your pattern but have yet to knit them so I can't give an honest review yet. They look simple enough so hope to have no issues knitting them.
Beautiful work! Wonderfully written! Thank you so much.
This pattern is so much fun. I cannot wait to make it.
This pattern is so pretty!!!
I found the pattern hard to follow. I tried a couple of times but finally gave up.
Haven't got a chance to start it yet but I am looking forward to it.
Great pattern. Wonderful colors!
I bought the yarn as a gift for a friend, but I already have a pair of socks from the same yarn. I love knitting with Biscotte self-striping sock yarns--I now have two pairs of socks (Blue Pansies and Arielle) and I'm working on a third (Gazania). And I have more skeins to knit up! I love the colors of Arielle, but the little crab is also quite special. Crabbing is an important activity and source of income in my community on the Chesapeake Bay.
Whether a Nor'easter is on its way or you need a last minute gift, these slippers fit the bill. A one-day project if you're dedicated, or two nights in front of the TV after dinner.
I have not yet used the yarn I bought, but expect it to perform well, as friends of mine have used your yarn. I am disappointed, as I expected the color to skew more yellow than it actually does, to me it looks orange.
Looking forward to getting to knit this.
I have not yet knitted the pattern yet but do look forward to it. I loved the look of it when I first saw it.
I did receive this pattern. Looks beautiful and interesting. I have not had a chance to knit it yet. Looking forward to starting it when I get the time. Thank you
Wonderful yarn, wonderful colours and best of all delivered to the door in a timely manner. Thanks for the great service. Will be back in the near future.
I love this slipper! It is my go-to slipper, knits up quickly and easy to add a cable to the top or add a cuff.
it took some time to understand the pattern, but once it clicked in to my brain, what a joy.
Love the softness and brilliant colors of your yarn. It knits up beautifully. It is a dream to hold in my hands as I knit my project. Love this yarn.
have not tried the pattern yet!
I have not yet started this project but expect to enjoy it as much as the friend of mine who recommended this pattern
This yarn is just what I expected, beautiful and soft. Can't wait until I can knit it up.
Beautiful colors and a pleasure to work with!
The color is amazing, just as it looked in the picture !
The picture of the hat was so cute, I had to have the pattern. Something must have gone wrong in the download process because when I printed the pattern, the text was in a space about 2" X 3" and so tiny I couldn't read it. Disappointing.
Gorgeous, wish I had gotten 2. Kippy
Thank you sooo much for this free knitting pattern. I am truly grateful for it. AND it is so beautiful!
At this time, I lack the funds for both yarn AND pattern. I am soo looking forward to starting this lovely hat.
Thank you, again.
I made this for my little Granddaughter. It was easy to knit and came out cute.
These patterns are always well written and pretested! I can trust the finished items will always turn out well. Thank you!
Pattern is easy, quick to knit up and a great gift.
Lovely, quick, easy pattern--thank you very much!
A very nice and very well understood knitting instruction
Lovely pattern, clearly written. Simple, classic lines, easy fit. Perfect showcase for the yarn. Pretty mindless knit so good for beginners or when you need to give your mind a rest and cruise on auto-pilot. Good choice for last minute gifts or charity knitting.
I am looking forward to making it in the coming year. will make a nice gift for next year
I really like love this hat
This is a fantastic yarn - soft and beautifully dyed with a lovely amount of bounce. For an aran weight yarn, this isn't heavy or too drapey at all. I am using it for a shawl with honeycomb cables and it has turned into one of my all-time favorite projects because of this yarn. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!!!
Absolutely stunning yarn!! I ordered this for a worsted weight project and I was initially concerned that this would be too heavy (merino yarn in aran weight can be very heavy/drapey) but it has an incredible amount of bounce. I will definitely be using this yarn again and again. The customer service and delivery were also excellent.
I love this pattern, it's perfect for beginners and also for the advanced knitter. This was actually the second hat I ever made and
it came out perfect.
The pattern looks very nice and I am planning to use it soon
I love the color way and hope to find the right pattern for this Yarn soon.
Do not hesitate to choose this yarn club! I couldn't wait to receive the first package and now, I just can't wait for the February one to show up at my door! The yarn was beautiful and soft and smelled so delicious... It really is fun to not choose anything and get a random surprise once in a while, especially since the quality of Biscotte yarn is always top-notch. I also very much enjoyed to choose a pattern from a variety of six choices. I chose the fingerless gloves pattern as I had never knit any gloves nor mittens before. So not only was I getting new yarn, but I also learnt new skills on the way! The project was beautiful, fun and fast to complete which was a welcome break from the blanket I am actually knitting. One of the reason I chose this club instead of the sock club is due to the fact that you may get a variety of yarn weight over the course of the year, not only sock weight yarn to work with. I love sock yarn but this added a welcome element of surprise! One thing though that I would like to see next time I receive a package is the type of yarn used (name and weight category) to keep as a reference. It wasn't specified and I would have loved to see these info. By the way, my husband now wants me to knit him a pair (and a man's pattern was included in the instructions!) and my daughters would love me to knit them mittens with the same kind of cable pattern. Great great club!
I have been looking for a pattern like this for some time.
Nice pattern! easy to follow. can't wait to get it done.
Very easy to follow and works up quickly!
Too many Christmas gifts to finish before I can reward myself, but I am looking forward to being "selfish"! The yarn is beautiful...
This will be the perfect small project to try magic loop on. Thanks so much, the pattern is well written.
I really like the pattern and the slippers are super cute. I just wish the pattern had other size options.
Precioso patrón, con muchas ganas de empezar
why not with Bis-sock ? Both yarn and pattern look great !
Thank you for the free pattern download. Looks like an easy pattern to follow. I'm still trying to learn to knit so it'll be awhile before I can tackle slippers
Love the patterns and I am looking forward to knitting them when I have some time.
Thanks for for generosity.
I love Bis-sock yarn! Delivery was fast, so I may need to order more yarn as gifts for the other Knitters in my life.
I bought this yarn because of the great reviews and awesome striping patterns, and I wasn't disappointed. It's always hard to find sock yarn that is of good quality and durable but NOT itchy; this yarn fits the bill! I love the unique striping patterns and even in different sizes, it turns out perfectly. I am so glad I bought the watermelon yarn and I am sure I will be back for others!
Thank you for this free pattern. I downloaded it just last week and made two pairs. It is soo much fun to knit up in no time at all.
The friendly and very helpful people from knittingparadise have a "chart" for different sizes for this version.
Next I will try the "no seam" version.
I love the slippers, there's a little bit of wonkiness at the toe from the increases, but once the slippers are on it's not noticeable. After altering to fit my yarn, I'm making several pairs for Christmas presents....thanks so much!
I love this cat pattern! I will be making some for the holidays
I have made several pairs of socks using Biscotte yarn, and I absolutely love it. It knits up nicely and washes well. The striped colorways coordinate well with the semi-solids. I'll keep using Biscotte, and I'd recommend it to others.
I really enjoyed this pattern. Of note: The adult small is VERY small. I wear a size 5.5-6.0 shoe, and the small was too small for my foot. Quick, easy to read pattern.
this little slipper works up so fast and the pattern is really easy to follow, love it
Great slippers, fast and easy to knit!
Beautiful pattern looking forward to knitting it
Though I have not had time to experiment with the new yarn, I am sure it will be a joy to work with after the holidays are over! It looks and feels great...
I haven't knit these socks yet but the pattern seems great.
I can't wait to try it.
Thank you for the pattern, unfortunately I was not able to use it.I don't know how to knit in the round with multiple needles. I have only been knitting for a short time.
I love this shawl, although I did get a little confused at times but thats just me.I,m finished the triangles & just have to figure out how to do the edge. The wool is great to work with.
A really gorgeous pattern, I enjoy knitting it a lot! As I prefer top down socks I use the chart to knit my Sparkling Sheeps socks from the cuff down. Just finished the heel decreases of the first sock, it looks so cute! Thank you so much for sharing!
Absolutely love this gift set. The project bag is amazing. Can't wait for Christmas morning so I can wind the yarn for socks. Yes, I did peek!!! One thing: Wondering what the colorway of the yarn is.
I love the ease of knitting these slippers! They have just enough of a simple challenge, with the seamless start to finish technique, to work a pair in one sitting...well, if you don't count refilling a cup of coffee. Use up oddiments of yarn for a pair for yourself to wear and make another pair as a gift all in the same evening!
I love the pattern, thank you very much for sharing it!
I wasn't able to open the pdf after downloading it, so disappointed.
Clear and easy to follow--plan to make several so I can play with color combinations.
merci de nous offrir de jolis modèles
j'aime beaucoup la construction de ce châle que peut être tricoter en une multidude de couleurs
Very cute hat, fun to knit. I haven't made the mittens yet.
Pattern is well written & easy to follow.
Glad it was free, as what I wanted was different sizing pattern for small children up to men's slippers. It was not there, as I thought advertized. Otherwise have not used it as of yet.
Love the yarn and the project I made with it!
I haven't found the right yarn for it yet. Left for after Christmas.
Haven't started the pattern yet as I'm finishing another project those are the next on my list. Love the pattern
Leicht verständliche Anleitung.
Pattern starts with cast on of 70 then gives a repeating pattern of 4 stitches for the "set-up round". 70 doesn't divide by 4. I don't know where/how to add a stitch.
Thank you for the pattern. We will be following it to make slippers for local nursing home residents. We think they will love them!
I fell in love with the Palmer House Shawl the minute I saw it, and I cannot wait to make it. I hope to make it my winter free-time project! It's a beauty.
Not yet started .
I ordered this yarn sight unseen after seeing a number of self-striping socks done by friends. The colors are rich and brights. The strips are coming out perfectly. It is honestly the softest sock yarn I have ever used. I love it!
I have not knit them yet. I am finishing up a baby blanket first then will make the matching bootys.
So far I have only knit the child's version (3-4). I have knit the adult version from your first pattern. Once you make one set, it does get easier each time.
A lovely knit!
A pleasure to knit from this pattern.
