We are proud to present the Dispersion Mittens, designed by Louise Robert ! Originally designed with Geilsk Tweed, the Dispersion Mittens are now reimagined in our DK Pure, bringing the same depth of color in a yarn we know and love !

Isaac Newton was the first to identify the chromatic dispersion phenomenon by demonstrating that white light can break down into a spectrum of colors when it passes through a prism.  - Louise Robert

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

  • The Dispersion mittens knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.

SIZE ADULT - ONE SIZE

GAUGE

34 stitches and 38 rows = 10 cm; 4" in stockinette stitch after blocking.

NOTE

These mittens are worked from the ribs to the fingertips. After completing the ribbing, stitches are increased to create a gusset and prepare the opening for the thumb.

The colorwork pattern is achieved by alternating the two colors A&B with C&D every 6 rounds. There is no need to cut the yarns when you change colors: Carry the color(s) not in use loosely on the WS.
