The inspiration for this shawl came from the colors themselves. Waiting for a spring that was late coming, I had a visceral need for vitamin D. This is how “Bain De Soleil” (which mean Sunbath in french) fell from my needles as would a ray of heat on my skin on a summer day. - Louise

I have made at least four of these shawls because its a lovely, interesting knit. I certainly plan to make a few more! It drapes beautifully and is nicer to wear than the normal triangular shawl. The pattern is striking and unusual and looks so good. The last one I made I didn`t use white or cream, I used a medium coloured yarn which blended with the two main colours and it looks great. There are many colour combinations to be tried with this shawl. This is a shawl one can wear all the time.
This is a great pattern, and extremely well written. I love it so much, I am making another in green!
I received the pattern quickly
So very easy! Thank you.
Now if I could just decide on the colours and yarn
I’m really enjoying knitting this shawl. I love the combination of lace, striped garter and stocking stitch with the different yarns.
