Most of the time when I work on a knitting design I am inspired by a yarn colourway.  With this blanket, I was thinking about something light and leafy, with leaves that were growing all around.

This blanket is worked in the round with 4 identical sections.  I suggest using stitch markers to identify each of the four sections of the blanket when the beans begin to grow!

Enjoy the magic of the beanstalk!

In addition to the knitting pattern, you'll need the following material to knit this baby blanket :

  • Biscotte Yarns - 3 skeins of DK Pure yarn shown in Vert Biscotte (green version) and Vanille (cream version)
  • Circular needles US #7 (4.5 mm) – cable lenght 40’’ or more.
  • 4 stitch markers (optional)

Final size prior to blocking : 31’’ x 31’’ (78.5 cm x 78.5 cm).

This pattern is available as a PDF numeric file. Simply add it to your cart and place a $0 order and you will get a link to download your pattern by email.  Enjoy!

HOW TO WASH HAND-DYED YARNS
With the growing popularity of natural fibers and wool, knowing how to wash your woolies is a very hot topic! Since we grew up in the era of synthetic fibers and the washing machine, the return to nature imposes a little reminder of the basic rules.

Cute name for baby blanket

I'm looking forward to knitting two of these Beanstalk Blankets for friends having a baby. Bought the yarn, just haven't had time to get started. Love the cute name!
