After releasing the Cloud 9 sweater pattern, Andrea loved the result so much that she decided to create a sock version of the Cloud 9 design! We are happy to offer you this free pattern that can be knitted with our DK Pure or Bis-Sock + Hermione yarn held doubled!
These socks are knit top down and can be knit by following the chart at the end of the pattern or the written instructions for the lace design on the instep. If you prefer a shortie version, the heel will start directly following the cuff.
In addition to the Cloud 9 knitting pattern, you need the following materials to knit CLOUD 9 socks:
- Biscotte Yarns – DK Pure: 238 meters/260 yards (1 skein) OR Bis-Sock yarn KNIT DOUBLED THREAD with Hermione. Sample is knit in Super Sock colorway Let it Be and Hermione colorway Aigue-Marine. (1 skein of each)
- 4 double-pointed needles (or circular needles for knitting in the round) 3mm (or size needed to obtain gauge).
- Tapestry needle and Stitch markers
SIZE – ONE SIZE : Length of foot: adjustable.
GAUGE: 27 sts = 10 cm – 4po
