INDIGO + HIMALAYAN RHUBARB Indigo tree is a shrub that grows in warm regions whose leaves are used to prepare a purplish-blue dye. The rhubarb of the Himalayas is a plant from which we obtain a yellow-orange pigment. When you mix the color of indigo with the rhubarb of the Himalayas, you get a stunning blue green! -Louise

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT NATURAL DYES
Due to their artisanal nature, hand-dyed wool skeins can be different from each other even if they both come from the same dye bath. By adding to the equation the use of vegetable dyes, you must know that there can be a great variation of the colors between the different lots. Since plant dyes are highly dependent on mother nature, variations can come from the plants themselves, the season, where the plant was grown and harvested and how tannins are stored. That said, natural colors are living colors that, once knit, magically develop and blend well together.
