Frédérique is Biscotte Yarns’ very first employee. She was hired in 2010 to work as a customer service representative and she was also a great knitting teacher, while completing a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and also a doctorate in Astrophysics.
Over the last years, she highly contributed to Biscotte Yarns’ successful growth. In 2018, she decided to fully invest herself in astrophysics. Biscotte Yarns is proud to pay tribute to Frédérique by creating a self-striping color called “Frédérique”, which represents a blue nebula.
This yarn is composed of 85% machine-washable merino wool and 15% nylon. Because of its unparalleled softness, you will want to knit more than stockings: but also shawls, mittens, baby clothes!
Each skein contains 100g of wool, 400 metres of yarn. This is more than enough to knit a pair of adult stockings.
Use needles of 2.25 to 2.75 mm for a sample of 28 to 32 stitches = 10 cm.
In the self-striping version this sock yarn is dyed by hand so as to create stripes when you knit it. It's almost magic!!
HOW TO WASH HAND-DYED YARNS
