Rafiki Lives Hat crochet pattern

From the rib band to the fringe top, the Rafiki Lives Hat  reflects all the joy that lives within each of us. The in the round construction features puffs and posts that lead to an “oh my” circular crown.

Trimmed out, it’s an intermediate pattern that  greets all that you meet with a shimmy, shake and smile, that is warm and inviting. Perfect for those fall outings where a little on the head side zhuzh, brings the right amount Head Gear Swag to the yard.

In addition to this crochet hat pattern, you will need the following material to crochet this hat

• Yarn A: Louise Robert MERINO WORSTED, 100% Superwash Merino Wool. 220 yds 3.5 oz/100gm - Norwegian Wood
• Yarn B: Louise Robert MERINO WORSTED, 100% Superwash Merino Wool. 220 yds 3.5 oz/100gm - Patsy
• Hook: Rib = Furls Odyssey H/5mm, Body = Furls Odyssey J/6mm
• Other: Scissors, Stitch Markers, Tapestry Needle, 1/8” Elastic (optional)

• Crown Diameter: 9”
• Length: Total 9 (Body 7”, Rib 2”)
• Width: Body at widest point 10”, Rib/Body join 9”, Rib at opening 8 ½”

• Popcorn (pc): work 6dc in same stitch to form group, drop loop from last hook, reinsert hook in first dc of group front to back, pull dropped loop through stitch.

• Gauge: Yarn A, J/6mm hook - 14 hdc = 4”
• Stitch counts are shown in parentheses at the end of each row/round as appropriate.
