We are pleased to introduce this new oversize pullover by Rita Taylor. Knitted with our very popular Dk Pure hand-dyed yarn, this sweater is the one you need to keep you warm during the cold season.

This oversized mellow and trendy sweater is the perfect piece to wear with skinny jeans, or add a belt to it for a figure-flattering evening look. You can also wear it as is for a relaxing afternoon! One way or the other, you will get “Down to the stream”…

In addition to the free knitting pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the sweater Down to the stream:

Gauge: 21 m and 28 rows: 10cm/4" X 10cm/4" jersey, with 4mm needles.

Size: One size only : bust circumference : about 130cm/51in; length : 66cm/26in : sleeve : 32cm/12½po

Note: This sweater is worked entirely in back and forth rows. The front and the back of this sweater are worked separately. They both start with 2 panels worked diagonally in garter stitch and assembled together in a wider band to create the lower part of the sweater. Then, sts are picked up on the top of these bands to work the upper part of the sweater in stockinette stitch.

This pattern is available in PDF format: add it to your cart and follow every steps to complete your order: no payment required. A link to download the pattern will appear on the final screen of your order and you will also get this link by email (look into your spams if you can't find it in our inbox). Enjoy!

Flexible pattern

I’m wearing it right now! Three of us decided to knit Down to the Stream and we all made unique adaptations to the pattern to make it for our smaller and larger body sizes. Pattern was well written and enjoyable. Each part went quickly leading to the next.

Here I go!

This is about to go on my needles and I can't wait.
It's been on my list for ages and I'm ready now. The simple body shape is just my kind of unfussy look.
