    Biscotte's Sheeps sock pattern

I absolutely adore the pattern itself, and I will be making several pairs. However, it is not clear if the heel is intended to be knit on the smaller needles. When you go back to the patterned portion, it specifies the larger needles, but there was no indication that there had been a change to the smaller needles. And the rib cuff references the 'rib' pattern which is an alternation between the main and contrasting colours. Mid way through the pattern, there are two contrast colour stitches together, essentially reversing the pattern. If this was actually done in a rib stitch half the row would be MC knit and CC purl, and the next half CC knit and MC purl. As it is, the photos on the pattern show the cuff all in MC and with a K1 P1 rib cuff, and the contrast colour added simply as the last row ruffle. Given that I have knit for close to 35 years, I'm comfortable making my own assumptions and pattern adjustments, but for someone who is just starting, there may be some confusion. The end product is beautiful. I love the sheep pattern! I just think there is some clarification and additional details needed in order to make it a great pattern. Thank you for the work you have put into the pattern, and for sharing it.
